Tracy Lease
Tracy Lease, who grew up cartwheeling and handspringing across lawns in Utah and Indiana, has been playing and training in her body since she was a child. Growing up a gymnast, she found yoga through an Iyengar book while handling dogs in St. Michael, Alaska after college. Loving yoga, she studied with both Iyengar and  Anusara teachers around the country, completing her 200 hour RYT with Todd Norian  and Ann Greene in Stockbridge, MA. She is now beginning advanced training in Yoga Therapeutics with Master Anusara Teacher Sundari Lucey. She has been teaching  beginning and intermediate alignment-based and heart-centered yoga at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and at studios in Fairbanks and the Teton Valley on and off since 2004.  She also taught yoga in intermediate and middle school classrooms at Chinook Montessori Charter School for nine years.
When Tracy was introduced to Pilates she realized right away that Pilates would help her strengthen her yoga practice. Now, while studying Pilates with Ann and Diane, she realizes that Pilates is another avenue into integrating her body and forming body-mind connections. She believes she has found another life-long practice. Tracy realizes, at age 47, that Pilates is helping her address old injuries and imbalances in her body. She is hooked! Tracy loves teaching and looks forward to sharing Pilates with others in the future.

Tracy self-designed an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and received an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Tracy is also a certified teacher, having taught for 14 years in St. Michael, Nulato, and Fairbanks Alaska. Her dream is to become a part of integrated wellness communities teaching movement, mindfulness, and breathing techniques to young people, women, and people wanting to try alternative avenues to wellness.
Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.
